Up Time Technology is a family-owned managed IT service provider at 2408 North 45th Street in Seattle, a few blocks from the Wallingford shop where it started. Ballard locals Peter and Mary Ann Hansen founded the company in 1983 as a scientific instrument repair shop and moved into computer sales and repair that same year. In 2017, Up Time closed its walk-in retail service to focus entirely on small and medium-sized businesses across Puget Sound. Clients are supported on a contract basis with proactive monitoring, reporting and help desk support. Services include server and email support, cloud hosting for websites, email and DNS, spam and virus filtering, firewalls and data security, IT strategy and planning, and custom-built servers and workstations.
